Change.

Presidents obamas campaign promised change,....hope! Americans couldnt be more ecstatic about these promises. Finally, a better U.S.A. recession free, debt free. Where many could go back to eating at expensive Steak Houses instead of the regular Olive Garden, or go back to driving there gas eating SUV's instead of driving their toyota, or god forbid taking the bus. Americans were excited to once again be able to buy their expensive prada bags, gucci sunglasses, jimmy choo shoes, burberry bandanas, roberto cavali dresses instead of Target shirts, Ross shoes, and Walmart purses. YES! finally, out of their missery americans could finally step away from the poor world and back into their ex-daily lives. This is where my issue lyes. In arguing with many people, it was made clear to me that people who live in the United States have NO idea, concept, notion, understanding of what TRUE and REAL poorness or poverty is. Real poverty is dying from diseases because vaccines aren't available. Real poverty is dying from dehydration because clean water isn't available. Real poverty is dying from hunger because there isn't any food to eat. Real poverty is living next to, and washing your clothes in a garbage infested river. Real poverty is walking miles under the heat of the sun to get water from a well for you and your family. Real poverty is going to sleep and not knowing if you're going to wake up in the morning. Real poverty does not in any way shape or form compare to the "poverty" experienced in america. Think you have it bad? You have no idea.
